He has held an affiliate faculty position at the UF College of Medicine since 2019. He also serves as the course producer for the Introduction to the Professions of Medicine (MDU 4003) Course that enrolls 1,500 students annually. Tasked with developing Equal Access Research, he has overseen the organization grow from 20 to over 200 members enrolling 2,000+ patients in a variety of clinical research trials. His research interests encompass all realms of digital health, ranging from mobileECGs to digital ophthalmoscopes as well as virtual reality for behavioral health applications. His work has been presented at a variety of medical conferences including the Virtual Reality and Healthcare Global Symposium & Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology. Under his leadership, the organization has also expanded into a series of literature reviews as well as incubated community initiatives (Crafting Care, InterConnect) aimed at addressing social issues through innovative approaches.
